Live Life, with Love. ♥

Yesterday, I was telling my bestie that nothing can be taken for granted, because everything that happens in the way we want it to be does not occur by chance; because effort needs to be put in and sacrifices have to be made to ensure things stay on track.

Today, I learn how fragile life can be.

It's not unusual to see that everyday, many people around the world choose to end their lives. But have we ever pondered, what is the root cause of such a choice? Do they really have no other options to turn to?

Is there something insufficient in education as a whole, specifically education on how we should manage our lives and negative consequences that happened beyond our expectations? And, on how we should improve our mental health?

I believe we have taken a long long way, filled with our own experiences, to strengthen our abilities to deal with detrimental blows (e.g. being bullied, failed exams, broken relationships). The school curriculum doesn't teach us that; it's the failures that struck us that make us realise and empower us with such fortitude.

Will it be better if we are taught in school on dealing with stress and getting by failures? Such personal development skills seem to be lacking and less regarded.

After all, the meaning of our existence is not just about learning hard skills that open the door to wealth and survival, but also about acquiring soft skills that enhance our living experience and make ourselves more worthwhile.

No matter what, life is fragile. Treasure it, and treasure our loved ones. I know this sounds really cliche, but since greed is one of the most overwhelming human characteristics that tends to make us take everything for granted, and since the world is becoming more and more success- and results-driven, this serves as an even more important reminder for us to keep in mind every now and then.
