Watched our Sun and Moon through a giant telescope in school today.

Although we feel heat from the Sun, which inadvertently leads us to imagine that the Sun must be a ball of fire (it certainly is in fact), the Sun looked calm on the surface, with sunspots caused by the strong magnetic field.

Comparatively, the moon's greyish-white surface, filled with craters, is prettier. Probably cos it's less glaring as compared to the Sun, and this emanates a kind of romantic feel.

No wonder the Moon is widely praised in Chinese literature over the decades, haha.

走啦,私奔到月球!

Also, looking though the solar filter, I saw the Sun become a brightly lit bulb against the black background (which essentially, is a clear blue sky in the reality).

How I wish I can see stars, comets, meteors, and auroras with my own eyes! :)
